We once had things in common
Now the only thing we share is the refrigerator
Ice cold, baby, I told you, I’m ice cold (ice cold!)
You out here flyin’ high (high!)
Go head, fly that thing!
High! High!
But fly alone

Michael Jackson and…
Okra
I never tire of seeing these okra flowers in my garden. They are stunning. Okra leaves, on the other hand, are something I could do without. They are sharp and feel like fiberglass on the skin. This has been my most productive plant to date, but the tomatoes are finally starting to turn and I think they may surpass the okra in productivity.
BIG Maps
Check out the BIG Map Blog. I’m fortunate that the site is run out of St. Louis and the curator posts a lot maps of my fair city. These are HUGE high-res, absolutely gorgeous maps and I need a few of them on my walls.
Check out the Janicke’s 1859 map, Buxton and Skinner’s 1904 World’s Fair map, and a 1968 USGS St. Louis Air Photo of North County.
Using Paper as a CD Case
Found this Life Pro Tip on Reddit. Also, use Paper CD Case to add track lists, images, contact info, etc to the paper sleeve. Pretty slick.
Ebony Day’s cover of Usher’s Climax.
Love the Usher original, might like this one more. Acoustic goodness.
The Garden of Your Mind
A remix of Mr. Rogers by Symphony of Science. Play this for everybody. Everybody.

Gotye – Somebody That I Used to Know
Listened to this album. Good stuff. Single is on the radio now. Sad face.
“I guess that I don’t need that though…
Now you’re just somebody that I used to know”
Stevie Wonder – Funerals
Whitney Houston’s funeral was today and I watched Stevie Wonder’s performance of a modified “Ribbon in the Sky.” It reminds me of him giving an amazing performance at Michael Jackson’s funeral.
At which funeral will he sing next? More importantly, who will sing at his funeral? Who is going to give the “Stevie Wonder performance” at Stevie Wonder’s funeral?

Robyn – SNL, Cover, Swoon Face
Robyn was on SNL over the weekend and performed Call Your Girlfriend and Dancin on My Own from her 2010 Body Talk album. She killed it!
After checking that out see her do a cover of Alicia Keys’s (s’? ‘s? s’s?) Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart for an iheartradio performance.
And if that’s not enough, watch Who’s That Girl? over on YouTube. The feeling I get when I see the face she makes at :16-:17 confirms I have a crush on this girl. Swoon!
