I could watch this wind map all day. This is from today, April 3, 2012, when a series of tornadoes ran through the Dallas-Fort Worth area. You can see a spiral hovering over Texas. This is amazing technology!

The BBC covered St. Louis in one of its Altered States specials.

Delmar Boulevard, which spans the city from east to west, features million-dollar mansions directly to the south, and poverty-stricken areas to its north. What separates rich and poor is sometimes just one street block.

March Madness: Sex vs Chocolate

Jezebel is holding a March Madness bracket race again this year. In 2011 it was Cats vs Dogs and in 2010 it was Cake vs Pie. This year it’s Sex vs Chocolate and the competition is intense!

I am picking Oral Sex as the overall champion. It has been a tried-and-true contender and worthy of the championship title. If anything is going to take chocolate down, it’s Oral Sex.

Stevie Wonder – Funerals

Whitney Houston’s funeral was today and I watched Stevie Wonder’s performance of a modified “Ribbon in the Sky.” It reminds me of him giving an amazing performance at Michael Jackson’s funeral.

At which funeral will he sing next? More importantly, who will sing at his funeral? Who is going to give the “Stevie Wonder performance” at Stevie Wonder’s funeral?

Is January over yet? I have things to do and they are all taking place in February. You see, first is my birthday which is next week. Birthdays are always good. The following week I am heading to Seattle for a few days to visit a friend. I am staying on Bainbridge Island this year which will require a short ferry ride. I understand that Bainbridge Island is a nice place with a shopping area and stuff. I am more excited about the ferry ride than shopping, though.

I am moving into a house at the end of February and I am currently spending an enormous amount of time planning and dreaming about this house. It’s a 3br/2ba house with a fenced years which means I might be able to get a dog. Might.

I am obsessing about some things I want to do, including rehabbing the bathrooms, building a workbench in the basement and then making other things. I like to make things and this house will give me the space to do so. I want to be the ~~queen~~ king of DIY. Of course, I can’t do anything until I close on this house. AT THE END OF THE MONTH. I hope I can make it the next 30 days.

For now, I am stuck in January, about to begin packing, and dreaming about February.

Here’s a handy way to cut down on produce loss, food waste, and the required cleaning out of the science experiments in the fridge. I tend to eat what I recently bought as opposed to what is soon going to expire so I could definitely use this!
