Day 9: A song that you can dance to
Is there a song that I can’t dance to?
Don’t walk away, boi… My love won’t hurt you…
Don’t Walk Away – Jade
Day 9: A song that you can dance to
Is there a song that I can’t dance to?
Don’t walk away, boi… My love won’t hurt you…
Don’t Walk Away – Jade
Day 8: A song that you know all the words to
I especially love all of the sideways looks I get when I flow this song from start to finish.
Don’t pull the thang out unless you plan to bang. Don’t even bang unless you plan to hit somethang.
B.O.B – Outkast
Day 7: A song that reminds you of a certain event
This song always reminds me of the time that I was working at a record store in St. Louis. When no one could agree on what to play at the store The Flaming Lips were a good alternative.
Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots – Flaming Lips
Day 6: A song that reminds of you of somewhere
Nashville. Maybe because it has the word Nashville in it?
New York City’s Killing Me – Ray LaMontagne
Day 5: A song that reminds you of someone
This is a strange topic as I would think that most songs would remind you of someone. Well… I hate to say it, but this one’s brought to you by Chris Brown. At least the video is ill and has some killer dance moves.
Yo, Excuse Me Miss by Chris Brown
Day 4: A song that makes you sad
A song that makes me sad? There are a lot of Disney songs that can turn me into a wreck. I am so high from writing yesterday’s post and listening to “Down” that I can barely think of a song that makes me sad. Oh yeah, except for that song from Dumbo. What a tear jerk.
Baby Mine
Day 3: A song that makes you happy
I have been known to drop whatever I am doing and begin randomly singing this song. God help me if it comes on in a bar or in a store. I have been seen dancing down aisles, singing along, and possibly fist pumping. I could be in the worst mood ever and this song will come on and completely turn everything around. This song makes me HAPPY. It’s the beat. It’s the flow. It’s the down, down, down, down, down …dooooooown doooooooooown.
Down by Jay Sean ft Lil Wayne
Day 2: My least favorite song.
A lot of the music on pop radio I can’t stand, but a song in particular that is my least favorite is On the Floor by J-Lo and Pitbull.
30 day song challenge list sounds as it is described. Over the course of 30 days, post a song each day that reflects that day’s topic.
Day 1: Your favorite song
I have a lot of favorite songs, but if I could hear this song every day, on the hour, my life would be perfect.

I’m inexplicably excited about this album dropping.
Cups of the Rose
Bitches in my old phone
I should call one and go home
I’ve been in this club too long
The woman that I would try
Is happy with a good guyBut I’ve been drinking so much
That I’ma call her anyway and say
“Fuck that nigga that you love so bad
I know you still think about the times we had”
I say “fuck that nigga that you think you found
And since you picked up I know he’s not around”
Heard this today. Good stuff.
1979, the year of Off the Wall and his first nose job, marks an obscure crisis. Around the start of that year, they offer him the gay lead in the film version of A Chorus Line, but he declines the role, explaining, “I’m excited about it, but if I do it, people will link me with the part. Because of my voice, some people already think I’m that way—homo—though I’m actually not at all.”
