Tech round-up

I experienced a major tech overhaul at my place over the past week.

First, I finally got a DVR. I can now pause, record, and rewind live TV, and subscribe to shows that I like watching. On my DVR now, a lot of CSI on Spike TV, Rick & Steve: The Happiest Gay Couple and Real Momentum (LGBT documentaries) on Logo, Weeds on ShowTime, and a lot of Spongebob for the Sprout.

I got a new TV for my bedroom, a 26″ Flat Panel LCD with a built-in DVD player. The girl and I had a friend come over and help us mount it on the wall. It looks spectacular. I was also able to connect my PC to it and can use it as a monitor. This is good for watching subscriptions or music videos downloaded from iTunes. Sweetness.

Have been using a Verizon aircard as my main internet access point at home. High speed is finally available at my apartment and so I will be running a Gigabit router (w00t!!) over a DSL connection. I say “will be” as the kit is to be delivered on Wednesday.

That’s the tech round-up. Decent, eh?

In other news, Threadless has reprinted my favorite Tee, Pandamonium. I have it in green, but think I will order one in grey. Also, they’re having a $10 sale so I will probably end up spending $100 in tees.

Hold on to whatever you find, baby

I just want something permanent. Something set in stone. I want to know that it will be there tomorrow, next week, next year, in ten years. Actually, I want to know that I will be there. So tiresome. So tired.

No I’m not the man I used to be lately,
See you met me at an interesting time.
And If my past is any sign of your future,
You should be warned before I let you inside.

Avocadoes

My breakfast consisted of:

One small apple which was peeled, cored, and sliced.
One half of an avocado, the hollowed center filled with poppyseed dressing.
One buttered piece of toast.
One glass of water.

If you’re not eating avocados for breakfast, it’s time you started.
